Chris Pahlow is a writer/director based in Melbourne. His debut feature film PLAY IT SAFE was released theatrically in September 2015, with TheMusic.com.au praising it as a film that would “resonate with every struggling musician you know” and a number of reviews noting Chris as a “talent to watch”.

In addition to developing his own original film and television projects, Chris is currently working as a freelance screenwriter. He helped pen “Brothers’ Nest” (set to premiere at SXSW 2018) alongside Jaime Browne and Clayton Jacobson, and is currently co-writing two other feature projects with Clay: “The Girls” (story by Lis Collins) and “Distant Runners” (story by David Michôd).

Chris is a big believer in independent cinema and is passionate about helping young filmmakers find their voice. He has taught film production at Swinburne and Deakin Universities, acting (with a focus on improvisation) at Verve Studios, and co-hosts The Movie Pack podcast with Clayton Jacobson.
